Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Vincent Faith collects when you visit vincentfaith.com, buy from us or sign up to our emails, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We've written it in plain English. If anything is unclear, email us at admin@vincentfaith.com.

1. Who we are

Vincent Faith is a UK jewellery business selling men's titanium and tungsten rings and chains. We are the "controller" of your personal information, which means we decide how it is used and we are responsible for looking after it.

2. The information we collect

Information you give us

  • Order details: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number (if you give it), what you ordered, ring size and any engraving text.
  • Payment details: payments are handled by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Account details: if you create an account, your login email and order history.
  • Messages: anything you send us by email or through the website, such as sizing questions, returns and exchanges, including photos you choose to send.
  • Email sign-ups: your email address and your marketing preferences, if you sign up to hear from us.

Information collected when you use the website

  • Device and usage information: such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, products added to basket, and the website or advert that brought you to us.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: explained in section 5. Apart from the cookies the website needs to work, these are only used if you agree.

3. How we use your information and why we're allowed to

UK data protection law says we must have a valid reason (a "lawful basis") for each use of your information. Here is what we do and why.

What we do Our lawful basis
Take payment, make and send your order, and deal with returns, exchanges and refunds To carry out our contract with you
Reply to your questions and give customer support, including help finding your ring size To carry out our contract with you, or our legitimate interest in helping customers
Send you order and delivery updates To carry out our contract with you
Keep sales and tax records Legal obligation
Prevent fraud and keep the website secure Our legitimate interest in protecting our business and customers
Send you marketing emails, such as new designs, offers and your sign-up discount Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time
Use analytics and advertising cookies to understand how the site is used and to measure and show our adverts Your consent, given through our cookie banner

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

4. Marketing emails

We only send marketing emails if you have signed up, for example through a sign-up form or pop-up on our website, or by ticking the box at checkout. The box is never ticked for you.

Our emails are sent using Klaviyo. Klaviyo records whether our emails are opened and which links are clicked, so we can send emails that are more useful and send fewer that aren't.

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. You can also email us to be removed. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a "do not contact" list so we don't email you by mistake again.

5. Cookies and our cookie banner

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use them in three ways:

  • Essential cookies keep the website working, for example remembering what is in your basket and keeping checkout secure. These are always on.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it.
  • Marketing cookies help us measure our adverts and show them to people who are likely to be interested.

When you first visit, our cookie banner (provided by Pandectes) asks for your choice. Analytics and marketing cookies stay off unless you accept them. You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie settings" link on our website. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of marketing cookies.

We use Google Consent Mode. If you refuse analytics or marketing cookies, Google's tags do not set those cookies. They may still send Google basic information that does not use cookies or identify you, such as the fact that a page was viewed. Google uses this to estimate how our website and adverts are performing overall.

6. Analytics and advertising partners

If you accept analytics or marketing cookies, these services receive information about your visit:

  • Google Analytics shows us how visitors find and use our website.
  • Google Ads and Google Merchant Center help us measure which adverts and product listings lead to sales. We may also show adverts on Google to people who have visited our website, for example someone who left items in their basket.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) uses the Meta pixel on our website to measure our adverts and to show our adverts to people who have visited us.

To measure sales more accurately, we may share a secured (hashed) version of details you give us at checkout, such as your email address, with Google. Hashing turns your details into a code that Google can match to an existing Google account but can't read. This only happens if you have accepted marketing cookies.

If you have signed up to our marketing emails, we may also share a hashed version of your email address with Google. Google uses it to show you our adverts, or to stop showing them to you if you've already bought. We never do this for customers who have not signed up to our emails. Unsubscribing from our emails stops it.

Google and Meta also use this information under their own privacy policies. You can manage how they personalise adverts for you at myadcenter.google.com and in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.

7. Who we share your information with

We only share what each company needs to do its job for us:

  • Shopify, which runs our online shop and stores order and customer details.
  • Payment providers, Shopify Payments (including Apple Pay and Google Pay) and PayPal, to take payment and prevent fraud.
  • Royal Mail, who need your name and address to deliver your order.
  • Klaviyo, which sends our emails.
  • Google and Meta, as explained in section 6.
  • Our accountant and professional advisers, where needed.
  • Authorities or courts, but only if the law requires it.

8. Information sent outside the UK

Some of these companies store information outside the UK, for example in the United States or Canada. When that happens, your information is protected by the safeguards UK law requires. These include UK government "adequacy" decisions, the UK-US Data Bridge, and approved contract terms between us and the company.

9. How long we keep your information

  • Order and payment records: six years from the end of the tax year, as required by HMRC.
  • Customer accounts: until you ask us to close your account, or after three years without use.
  • Customer service emails: two years from our last message, unless they relate to an order we still need to keep records for.
  • Marketing sign-ups: until you unsubscribe. After that, only your email address is kept on our "do not contact" list.
  • Cookies: each cookie has its own expiry date, shown in our cookie banner settings.

10. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct anything that is wrong
  • ask us to delete your information, unless we have to keep it, for example for tax records
  • ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to how we use it
  • stop marketing at any time, without having to give a reason
  • withdraw consent you have given, such as for cookies or emails
  • ask for information you gave us in a format you can take elsewhere

To use any of these rights, email admin@vincentfaith.com. It's free, and we will reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

If you're unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us and we'll do our best to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

11. Keeping your information safe

Our website and checkout use encrypted connections. Payments are handled by our payment providers, not stored by us. Access to customer details is limited to the people and services that need it to run the business.

12. Children

Our website is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information about them.

13. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when the way we use information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated. If a change significantly affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you before it takes effect.

14. Contact us

For any question about this policy or your information, email admin@vincentfaith.com.
